How's it all work?

One Simple Tool

TP Designer is your creative command center—a clean, UI-driven workspace where stories take shape. Available on PC only (so you’ve got the big canvas of a full monitor), TP Designer gives you easy-to-use tools without the coding headaches. Build branching paths, integrate items and flags, customize the look and feel, and test your adventure from any angle. Your idea becomes a fully interactive game with ease.

The Story

This is where everything comes together. Use the UI to create story nodes. Each node is a part of the larger story where possible player options connect to other story nodes, options such as “Open the door” or “Talk to the wizard”, "Pick up the key", etc. TP Designer automatically builds a branching tree illustrating the flow of your story. You can freely move nodes around to keep the diagram neat, giving you a clear visual of how the story flows.

Use Embedded Text Logic (ETLs) to insert text into your story where ever you need to adapt the story to flags or aquired items. The syntax is straight-forward and easy to drop into the text of your story. Perhaps the player found a "magic key". You can adapt story text to read, mid-paragraph, to say something like "The magic key in your pocket begins to plusate, perhaps its trying to tell you something."

Items and Flags

Bring your world to life with inventory and flags. Create swords, keys, potions, or quirky treasures that players can collect as they explore. Items can unlock doors, solve puzzles, or simply add more depth to your story. Flags track important events behind the scenes which can then be used to steer the narraration and plot of your story. Maybe a character whispered a secret, or a clue was discovered—set a flag, and suddenly new paths, options, or crucial items are unlocked. Flags let your story react dynamically to the player’s choices.

Resources

Make your story shine with images, music, and sound. Tiled Planet is an homage to vintage gaming of the 1980s and 90s. Upload any artwork or photos you want—the platform automatically pixelates them and converts colors into classic retro palettes: 16, 62, 256, or full SVGA (16.7 million colors). Add music and sound effects to match, and you’ve got instant atmosphere straight out of the golden age of PC gaming.

Settings

Choose fonts, colors, and a bezel to nail the aesthetic and mood of your game. Add your story description, upload marketing images and screenshots, and finally launch your game by simply checking a box to activate your game! Run/Test
